I am Cho Won-cheol, Minister of Government Legislation.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd Future Legislation Forum to be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, under the theme of “AI and Future Legislation for All”

This global forum is jointly organized by the Ministry of Government Legislation, the Korea Legislation Research Institute, Korean Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law, and the Seoul National University AI Policy Initiative (SAPI).

Artificial intelligence has become an essential driving force for the growth of our society. It is no longer a matter of choice but of necessity. To achieve this transformation effectively, laws and systems are needed to support the implementation of national AI policies. Laws and systems should serve as a robust foundation to build a society where everyone can share the benefits and innovation takes place.

This forum will bring together leading experts from around the world to explore legislative pathways suited to the AI era. When the public and private sectors work together to establish reliable laws and systems, AI can truly become a tool for everyone.
